Tourism Conference looks at Heritage

Heritage and tourism – who needs whom? This is one of the questions posed at this month’s Tourism Conference which takes place in Dublin Castle on the 25 April 2013.

The conference, which is taking place in the context of Ireland’s Presidency of the European Union, will look at the role culture and heritage has to play in the tourism experience and whether or not it has a larger role to play in realising the full economic potential of tourism in Ireland.

Contributing to this debate, we are bringing together a distinguished group of commentators and practitioners who have been actively involved in these issues and who will share their thoughts with us on how our unique Irish heritage and culture can in fact serve as a growing economic engine for Irish tourism.
