Great Video of the Greening of Cavan’s Fleadh 2012

The third year of Fleadh Ceoil na hÉireann was hosted by Cavan town took place during the summer of 2012. The Fleadh is a week long festival of traditional music competitions, sessions, concerts, exhibitions, fun-days, and a parade. Cavan County Council introduced An Fleadh Ghlas – the Green Fleadh, when the festival first came to the town.

Following on the great wok that was done in 2010 and 2011, in 2012 Cavan County Council set up their own Green Stage in the Green Zone – featuring several musical and dancing groups, music mayhem and performers. They offered information to the public about the Council environmental services and waste prevention. They also held a ‘Green Treasure Hunt’ at the Family Day, which was very popular.
