Riverfest Limerick

Riverfest Limerick 2013 goes Green!

Many different initiatives are being put in place to minimise the environmental impact and raise awareness at the Riverfest Limerick Festival by The Regional Waste Management Office (RWMO) for Limerick Clare Kerry, the Environment Section of Limerick City Council, Stop Food Waste (SFW) and Clean Ireland Recycling.

Waste segregation and prevention – food waste in particular – are the main themes of the greening.

The RWMO Food Waste Prevention Stand is where we launch the SFW lose 5kg food waste challenge, householders will be encouraged to take an Eco Pledge, and food portion tools will be distributed.

Segregated waste stations  will be well signposted and in place throughout the continental fair.
