The Connemara Mussel Festival

The Connemara Mussel Festival partnered with Galway County Council’s to take part in the Green Your Festival initiative.

Particular focus was put on waste. Only certified compostable food containers, implements and coffee cups were used so they could be placed in the compost/food waste bins provided. Galway County Council Environment Department gave a demonstration on home composting, providing guidance on how to reduce waste going to landfill whist at the same time feeding your garden!
