Many different types of festivals, events and destinations from all over Ireland have become involved in this programme, and with the support of their local authorities have achieved great results.

Food events such as the Midleton and Dingle Food Fairs, the Clarinbridge Oyster Festival and the Taste of Monaghan Festival have gone green.

Sporting events and destinations such as the Volvo Ocean Race, Thomond Park, Cobh Regatta, Great Limerick Run and Páirc na nGael have also become involved.

Famous destinations such as Killarney National Park, Cliffs of Moher, Sherkin Island, Baltimore, and Fota Wildlife Park have reduced their environmental impacts.

Cultural events have played their part too: Galway Arts Festival, Rose of Tralee, Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann (in Cavan), Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival (in Waterville), and the Galway Film Festival have all gone green.

Agricultural shows like the Iverk Show and Limerick Show are going green.
