Baltimore Harbour

Baltimore is a coastal village in West Cork, lying adjacent to a natural harbour and Carbery’s Hundred Isles. Marina activity in Baltimore Harbour is seasonal with hundreds of moorings there each summer.

Baltimore Harbour is one of two private marinas in West Cork piloting the Local Authority Prevention Programme clean marinas initiative by Cork County Council. The initiative aims to introduce sustainable and best environmental practice for boat users including segregation of waste, water conservation, and oil pollution prevention. The long-term intention would be achieving Blue Flag status.

Cork County Council, the EPA, the Baltimore Harbour Board, and Sherkin Island Marina came together for this initiative.
